Buying Marmoleum in the UK
Remland stocks a wide selection of Forbo Marmoleum sheet and click ranges, including popular collections such as Marmoleum Marbled (the classic swirled look in several sub-ranges), Marmoleum Click (pre-cut panels in multiple sizes for easier installation) and specialist finishes like Striato, Concrete and Piano. Free samples are available on every SKU, and both our Folkestone and Hythe showrooms hold current swatches - book a viewing if you'd like to see a colour in natural light before committing.
Installation and fitting
We offer a fitted Marmoleum service across Kent and East Sussex. Every job starts with a site survey to check the subfloor - Marmoleum needs a smooth, dry, level base, and we'll usually recommend a liquid or fibre-reinforced latex screed where the existing surface is uneven. Sheet Marmoleum also needs 24-48 hours to acclimatise in the room before laying, and fitting is always adhesive down (not floated). Lead times from survey to fitted floor are typically 2-4 weeks depending on stock.
Marmoleum vs vinyl vs LVT - which should I choose?
| Material | Typical lifespan | Eco credentials | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marmoleum | Natural (linseed, cork, jute) | 25-40 years | Biodegradable, CO₂-neutral production |
| Sheet vinyl | Synthetic PVC | 10-20 years | Recyclable in some programmes |
| LVT | Synthetic PVC tiles/planks | 15-25 years | Recyclable in some programmes |
Choose Marmoleum for eco-priority and long lifespan, vinyl for best value and waterproof simplicity, or LVT for realistic wood/stone visuals with plank-by-plank replaceability. See our Marmoleum range for current pricing and availability.
