EC1PLUS & EC1

EC1PLUS and EC1 are classifications awarded by the GEV (Association for the Control of Emissions in Products for Flooring Installation) under their EMICODE® system. Both certifications indicate very low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from construction products, with EC1PLUS representing the current limit of what is technically feasible in emission reduction. This premium classification sets the benchmark for the industry’s highest achievable standards in emission control. Products carrying these certifications demonstrate our commitment to indoor air quality and occupant health, making them ideal choices for healthcare facilities, schools, and other sensitive environments.

PCR

PCR (Post-consumer Recycled) content refers to the recycled plastic used in our product packaging, including buckets and cartridges. This measurable specification indicates the percentage of packaging materials that have been reclaimed from consumer waste and reprocessed into new packaging solutions. By using PCR plastic in our packaging, we actively reduce virgin plastic consumption and support the circular economy. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to sustainable packaging practices and helps reduce the environmental impact of our product delivery systems.

EPD

An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a transparent, standardised document that communicates the environmental performance of our products throughout their lifecycle. Based on ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards, our EPDs provide detailed information about environmental impacts including carbon footprint, resource use, and waste generation. While not a certification, EPDs are third-party verified and help contractors make informed decisions about product selection. They are particularly valuable for green building certification systems like LEED and BREEAM, where they contribute to achieving credits for material transparency and environment performance documentation.

BREEAM

BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s longest-established method of assessing, rating, and certifying building sustainability. Similar to LEED, products can contribute to BREEAM credits across multiple categories, particularly in Materials, Health & Wellbeing, and Innovation. When our products are used in BREEAM projects, they help achieve higher ratings (Pass, Good, Very Good, Excellent, or Outstanding) and demonstrate compliance with stringent environmental and sustainability requirements.

LEED

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s leading green building certification system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. While not a product certification itself, products can contribute to achieving LEED points in various categories such as Materials & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation. When specifiers and architects use our LEED-contributing products, they can help buildings achieve higher LEED certification levels (Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum), demonstrating their commitment to sustainable construction practices.
