The British wood flooring association (BWFA) is now able to offer apprenticeships to wood floor contractors which are unique within the industry. This means flooring contractors will have some meaningful recognition for their skills as is the case in other European countries where they may be rejected if they could not provide proof of their competency. In addition, courses will be run covering the installation of timber floors with sanding and finishing courses. These courses are very practical with delegates being the opportunity to have hands-on use of the bona sanding machines and other industrial equipment.
