Explosion at recycling firms (21/9/11)

Waste recycling firm Greenway Enviromental and waste manufacturer Pakawaste have been fined a total of over £224,000 following a major chemical fire in Crewe caused by an explosion in an aerosol-shredding unit. More than 100 firefighters and 25 fire engines were involved in putting out the blaze.
