Altro Support Cancer Charity

Altro have donated 24m² of safety flooring to help with the renovation of a cancer charity's new support centre in Essex.
Helen Rollason Cancer Charity plans to open a cancer support centre in Hatfield Peverel. The building requires some work before it opens, beginning with the renovation of the first-floor offices which will be the new home of the charity's fundraising team.
Last weekend we sent our Flooring Consultant, Roger Moore, down to the site to fit our popular Altro Walkway safety flooring. Hardwearing and slip resistant, it's the perfect solution for the centre's toilets, kitchen and main staircase.
Charity trustee, Gordon Cameron, explains: "The building used to be a bank and so we needed to update the flooring in certain areas. We also needed advice on suitable flooring for the centre downstairs. As it has to be durable, slip-resistant and easy to maintain, we contacted the safety flooring experts at Altro for help and have been delighted with their generous donation and offer to install it. It is reassuring to know that we have the latest top-quality safety flooring that will last for years to come."
The new centre will be the fourth of its kind to be opened by the charity in the South-East of England. They provide counselling and support to cancer patients and their carers, and also offer therapies such as massage and reflexology free of charge to complement their treatment.
Roger said: "We were delighted to be able to help the charity achieve a fresh look for their new centre. The work they do is fundamental to the lives of so many people and we were more than happy to do our bit to support the opening of another centre in the region. We chose a stunning blue shade for the flooring and it looks great!"
