Altro Give To The Arts

Letchworth Arts Centre has a smart new look – thanks to the generosity of Altro.

Altro, supplied materials and provided volunteers to give the Arts Centre’s entrance foyer a complete makeover with new wall artwork, designed by the Arts Centre using Altro products, and safety flooring. The stairway and first floor Foyer Gallery floor has also been given a makeover, again with Altro staff volunteering to create the refit.

The results were officially unveiled at a party at the Arts Centre yesterday, Thursday 22nd September, to thank Altro and its staff for all their hard work.

Richard Kahn, Altro Group managing director, said: “On behalf of the Altro Group, I am delighted to celebrate the refurbishment of Letchworth Arts Centre. The newly decorated entrance hall is truly inspirational – not just in terms of its design but as a reminder of what amazing things can be achieved through volunteering."



“Since being nominated as a Sunday Times Best Company to work for, for the sixth year running, it was important to us all at the Altro Group to share our success with our local community. Hence we launched our ‘Giving Something Back’ volunteering scheme earlier this year. We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Letchworth Arts Centre since the start of this programme and I am immensely proud of the team who have volunteered their time to work on this refurbishment as well as the many other employees who have volunteered their time for other great causes across the region.”

Maria Iredale, chief executive of the Arts Centre, said: “Altro have been great. It has been a terrific experience working with them, and we are extremely grateful for everything they have done. Thanks to them, the atmosphere that greets visitors when they come through the door has been transformed.”
