Maintenance
The frequency of a regular cleaning method will depend on the amount of traffic, soiling type, soiling levels and desired appearance.
To remove dry soiling deposits, regularly vacuum using an upright vacuum cleaner with a mechanically driven rotating brush. Make several passes in all directions with the vacuum cleaner to ensure that all loose dirt is removed. Vacuum action should be fast forward and slow backward. Spot clean if necessary.
To remove wet soiling deposits, use a wet vacuum (Vax or similar) to initially remove excess moisture in the matting. For stubborn spillages and stains, use a hot water spray extraction machine or a 3 in 1 spray and brush machine.
Sustainability
Yarn is the single biggest source of carbon in a carpet tile so in 2021 Burmatex® committed to making all new products from low carbon yarn. By working with our partners, and through advances in material science, we now have a range of low carbon yarns, including the worlds first carbon negative yarn, which we use to reduce the amount of carbon in our products. 7800 chevrolay® is manufactured using 100% renewable energy and a minimum of 5% recycled polyester yarn.
